Spotlight - Lewis Pennycock

Lewis Pennycook is a 23 year old, 3D animator living in Dumfries and Galloway. He graduated from Glasgow Caledonian in 2021 with a degree in Animation in Computer Games.
Lewis' main interests are gaming, especially retro games, and anime. He has a particular interest in environmental modelling.
Lewis says;
"I am a creative person whose interest in drawing and playing video games led me to study 3D art and animation, Although I did not initially have the Highers to go straight to university, I had the drive and determination to succeed, starting with an NC and working my way up to gaining an Honours degree, an achievement I am proud of."
Lewis will be working with the CatStrand Young Creatives team to develop and facilitate the next block of 'Up Skills Workshops' in 3D animation. These workshops will be aimed at 15 - 20year olds and will take place at the Smiddy in Balmaclellan in November. Tickets will need to be booked in advance as limited places. Lewis will also be running some character drawing workshops as part of Saturday Art Club for 10 - 14 years.
